Chi ca go go

Howdee.

Well, they don't call it the Windy City for nothing but the weather has been really sunny over the weekend. Chicago is a great city, quite studenty with the hostel located downtown and surrounded by lots of cultural delights. The ones I have sampled include the Art Institute (for free) and "Friday night at the Movies" performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The hostel gives you lots of benefits and I have found it easy to meet people and eat cheesecake in a chocolate factory esq interior.
I am buying a 15 day Amtrak train ticket which will keep me sorted until LA where I fly from. This afternoon I leave for Flagstaff Arizona on a 30 hour train; flannel and toothpaste on hand.

Be great if you have time to post a comment and let me hear your news too.

Ta ta for now- Maz

One week in the big apple

Hey y'all

I am hoping to put some pictures up soon now that I've bought my digital camera.
Today I am going to wander round some cooler parts of Downtown Manhattan i.e. Soho and Nohlita.

The American museum of natural history blew my mind. An incredible place, very fascinating especially when they were speaking about trying to find the organising principle that explains the universe.

Still looking forward to... The Empire State Observatory at dusk

NYC

Hello all
Thank you for your messages. I'm very well. The appartment where I'm staying is on the corner of a road in Brooklyn and has a great view of the pub which I haven't gone in yet.

Its sinking in that I'm actually in New York now that I've spent the day dipping in and out of Central Park. Walked home over the Brooklyn Bridge at night which was fabulous. Darling.

Looking forward to a party tomorrow night at the Culture club. This week I am mostly looking forward to.... a trip to the american museum of natural history complete with butterfly and space shows

Keep in touch

How you doin?
